In light of it being FINALS WEEK this week and the next, I find them very apt. B/c not only did I not study over the weekend, but I started writing new fic for fun instead. ALWAYS! Always when I have finals/papers, I write other crap instead. And I'm like...2/3s done with a fic. And 0/5 pages done on my final piece. And I have 2 finals on Tuesday and Wednesday. O JOY TO THE WORLD.

Also I saw The Golden Compass this weekend. It was enjoyable! I rate 6/10. Excellent acting in The Golden Compass + fantastic effects - editing/plot :( Still, it was entertaining. I think I just didn't expect much; I have low expectations when it comes to good book --> movie.

I got my midterm grades back, and I did really fucking well! I didn't expect that, but it has reminded me what I'm doing here and that I've been doing something right.

Got hooked on Smallville from watching S4. Tom Welling. I'm shallow and stuff, I know it, but he is so hot it's ridiculous. And although there are many things wrong with that show, it was still enjoyable. A few cringeworthy moments, but overall, I like it. I've also gotten back into Gilmore Girls (YAY) and one of my friends plans on buying S5, so I'm going to kill myself with all the Logan.

The family was out today, and they called to let me know that I should go ahead and eat without them. It was too cold to go out, so I decided to have the corn soup I had at lunch. I wanted to finish my English essay and not watch the stove, so I just put it in the microwave, which has worked before. Yeah, right. I melted the corn in my corn soup. The soup and melted corn stuck to the sides and everything. I didn't even know that was possible. So now I know it is.

In other news, I managed to get most of Chapter two done for SC, so here it is. Un-beta-ed and everything. It's missing a scene between Harry and Ginny, Draco scene needs to be elaborated on, and some tweaks there and here. I notice I seem to be skipping a lot of the Draco scenes. This is because Draco is hard to write (for me, anyway). Draco needs my full concentration. I can't write Draco when I'm trying to finish my college cover sheets and English essay at the same time. So rest assured, I will go back and fix Chapter 1 and 2 and elaborate and etc.
