question

Saw this from moreteadk and decided to take the test. I was averaging 97-98 wpm listening to Sarah McLachlan, but then my iTunes random hit Gym Class Heroes's "The Queen and I" and I hit my high of:

112 words

Lesson: music that pumps you up also hypes up your fingers!

All my D/G people are following round 4 of dgficexchange, yes yes? Featuring layout by twinklepug, sign ups start in about a week!

So, also got a question for you: Which of your own fics/art are you most proud of? Follow-up: Which fic/art of yours do most readers like? Same fic, y/n? I was going to ask which one is your favorite, but that might not be the one you're most proud of :P (It isn't for me!) Feel free to link me!

I've been wondering this for a while. I have this theory that the one you're proud of isn't usually the one most people seem to like. Example: The Barest Hint of Lemon is the fic I'm still getting reviews for. But, for many reasons, it's not what I'd put up as my best work. It's not that I don't like it, it's just...not what I'm most proud of.

On a related note, without a doubt, my absolute WORST has to be this D/G I wrote in 2004 called "Love, Ginny." Oh my god. It was worse than some of the earlier BSB fics I wrote. Best thing ff.net ever did was wipe my account clean and destroy that fic. Except like a year later I found out streetscribbles saved it. And then her computer got wiped and I thought now it's truly gone. And then she told me she somehow recovered it. Love, Ginny: The Fic That Just Wouldn't Die. Morbid fascination compelled me to ask her to send me the fic, to see if it was as bad as I remembered. It was so much more than that, I cannot say. For a while, before she sent it to me, I was debating whether I should put it up as a "how far I've come" thing, but for the good of all, that thing will never be up for public viewing.

I saw one episode, too! I watched the pilot and had little to no interest of continuing. BUT, this is not to say I am not a fan of teenage shows of the like, as I'm a HUGE fan of The O.C. Which is why I'm considering it cause Sandi feels the same way about The O.C. that I do (love for the same characters, seasons, similar opinions re: certain ships on that show, etc etc). But what I really liked about the O.C. was the wit . . . and I feel like GG lacks ANY funny (and smarts), but then again . . . I have only seen ONE ep.

I can't think of any others (of our friends), but I think Stor has bitched about GG at one point. FAT WHORES CLUB GANGING UP TIME?!

OKAY OKAY IT'S NOT FUNNY LIKE THE OC (Go watch Chuck if you want Josh Schwartz humor), and it's tacky and awful with dialogue...

Oh whatever. I can't talk my way out of this one. :'(

Okay, I'm with you, because of the strike, I've been watching GG. There's my excuse! Granny panties unbunched! :D HAHAHA. JK

But I seriously miss the office. Yesterday I quoted to the intern that he should go on a date and watch gossip girl (he watches) and it'd be a win-win-win. XD

HAHAHA, Blair has the best lines when she's angry: "It wasn't because I like his natural musk."

Well this Wednesday (Tuesday for Canada) is the last episode filmed. Soooo that's that. :\

AGREE! I think Blair is GREAT :D Script ppl give Dan the best lines overall, but Blair is hilarious in just her facial expressions and everything!

Did you know that some people at the Television Without Pity boards think Dan is annoying in always spewing out his holier than thou attitude, because he's poor-er?? LAME. Dan makes good points all the time and he clearly brings the best out of Serena, so that's that.

ANYWAY!!! Dan has the witty going for him, but I don't like his stuttering/rambling quirk. :\

No I didn't know that! BUT I wouldn't be surprised. TWOP ppl are CUTTING sharp. One part where I didn't like Dan though was when he went all 180 on Serena when he found out she slept with Nate. It's like, hello, you've been on ONE DATE w/ her. How is this your business. That was his one holier-than-thou moment. Otherwise, I like that Dan grounds Serena!

HAHAHA YEAH!! It's WEIRD especially when he's also like, really witty at the same time.

Oh no, I'm not knocking it b/c it's high school, I loved VMars and uh...Buffy, which is completely and utter ridiculousness, and Freaks and Geeks. It's not the high school part that bothers me.

I think it's the writing, mainly. I mean, I've never been a big fan of the "rich people have it tough!" thing, but I would be fine with it if the dialogue wasn't such crap. The storyline they can't be blamed as much for, b/c it's based to some degree on a book series (the book author can be blamed).

I know I read fanfic, even bad fanfic, on a regular basis. But GG's writing is just horrible. It feels like the writers have no imagination at all and are just recycling (stylistic writing) cliches.

That said, I may tease Jody about it, but I don't think it's horrible if someone does enjoy it. I watched and LOVED 'Kid Nation', which was like G-rated Survivor. Completely bland and feel-good emptiness.

Yes! Arrange an emergency FAT WHORES meeting! We shall fight our enemies with our Draco icons.

I LOVE VERONICA MARS. To this day, it remains my favorite TV show. Everyone hated S2, but I never thought it was like, AS BAD AS THAT! DEFinitely not as bad as to get canceled when there are other shows on that network that really just...dunno why they're still on air!

I watch GG! BUT. It is nowhere near as good as Vmars, FNL, or The OC...can't think of other teenage shows I've watched. I watch mainly for the clothes, New York, and the music (which isn't as good as I expected! coming from the lady who does Grey's Anatomy and The OC). Whereas Vmars was all snappy and everything, something about GG flatlines. It's still entertaining to watch don't get me wrong, it's just like, doesn't command your intense concentration. Maybe it's the lack of mystery and suspenseful plot.

VMARS RULES. I didn't hate S2 either (not as much as some other peole, jeezy creezy), but S3 really killed it for me. But I can't resist a high school/college freshman sleuth. ♥ And Logan Echolls is the best TV boyfriend EVAR.

FNL rocks GG though; it's got so much emotion in a real-life drama show. I love it.

PS - Blair's headbands? AWESOME.

DEF! Like, I found all the seasons really entertaining - there were lame eps, but even when they were lame, it was so well done. All the COLOR, the music, etc. That just made it a fun show to watch, visually stimulating and stuff. DO NOT LIKE THE FINALE THOUGH. Rob Thomas did WRONG by the show w/ that.

Have you ever watched Gilmore Girls? haha I know B doesn't like that show, but the Logan on that show who dates Rory/Alexis Bledel? BEST BOYFRIEND. He was in a lot of ways like Logan Echolls actually. Except with all the murder charges and stuff XD

I definitely like FNL to GG - FNL's just got so much going on with it, it doesn't feel so pointless.

Blair's porcelain doll grandma dresses with ruffles and lacey collars! :DD

MAN I should've friended you earlier! We could've fangirled over VMars!

Sadly I never caught onto Gilmore Girls. :\ But I know fandom is divided up between Rory and... Milo Vas;ldkfj;alskj and Matt Czurasdkfj.

Let me know what you think of Gossip Girl tonight. I caught the Canadian broadcast dl last night, but I wanna talk about it with someone...

I know! I had no idea we shared a bunch of other fandoms/tv shows!

Rory and... Milo Vas;ldkfj;alskj and Matt Czurasdkfj.
HAHAHAHAHHAHA I didn't even try to spell it. But, yes. I was really split too. Both were really charming, witty guys. Except Milo/Jess had some behavioral/attitude issues...on the other hand, Matt/Logan had attitude problems too. They were actually, in retrospect, a lot alike except for the fact that Milo/Jess was bad boy booknerd and Matt/Logan was rich spoiled brat.

I MISSED IT! I gotta download, but my internet is SOOO slow right now. I'll def message you when I finally watch it though!
