question

Saw this from moreteadk and decided to take the test. I was averaging 97-98 wpm listening to Sarah McLachlan, but then my iTunes random hit Gym Class Heroes's "The Queen and I" and I hit my high of:

Lesson: music that pumps you up also hypes up your fingers!

All my D/G people are following round 4 of dgficexchange, yes yes? Featuring layout by twinklepug, sign ups start in about a week!

So, also got a question for you: Which of your own fics/art are you most proud of? Follow-up: Which fic/art of yours do most readers like? Same fic, y/n? I was going to ask which one is your favorite, but that might not be the one you're most proud of :P (It isn't for me!) Feel free to link me!

I've been wondering this for a while. I have this theory that the one you're proud of isn't usually the one most people seem to like. Example: The Barest Hint of Lemon is the fic I'm still getting reviews for. But, for many reasons, it's not what I'd put up as my best work. It's not that I don't like it, it's just...not what I'm most proud of.

On a related note, without a doubt, my absolute WORST has to be this D/G I wrote in 2004 called "Love, Ginny." Oh my god. It was worse than some of the earlier BSB fics I wrote. Best thing ff.net ever did was wipe my account clean and destroy that fic. Except like a year later I found out streetscribbles saved it. And then her computer got wiped and I thought now it's truly gone. And then she told me she somehow recovered it. Love, Ginny: The Fic That Just Wouldn't Die. Morbid fascination compelled me to ask her to send me the fic, to see if it was as bad as I remembered. It was so much more than that, I cannot say. For a while, before she sent it to me, I was debating whether I should put it up as a "how far I've come" thing, but for the good of all, that thing will never be up for public viewing.

DON'T WATCH IT! IT IS EVIL. I saw one episode, but I have enough years of tv watchin' to know you should stay far, far away from it. I felt stupider at the end of the episode than I did at the start, and I can't brag about having been born with that many brain cells to begin with.

But we can still tease our friends who do watch it (L, Jody, Sandi, any others?).

I saw one episode, too! I watched the pilot and had little to no interest of continuing. BUT, this is not to say I am not a fan of teenage shows of the like, as I'm a HUGE fan of The O.C. Which is why I'm considering it cause Sandi feels the same way about The O.C. that I do (love for the same characters, seasons, similar opinions re: certain ships on that show, etc etc). But what I really liked about the O.C. was the wit . . . and I feel like GG lacks ANY funny (and smarts), but then again . . . I have only seen ONE ep.

I can't think of any others (of our friends), but I think Stor has bitched about GG at one point. FAT WHORES CLUB GANGING UP TIME?!

OKAY OKAY IT'S NOT FUNNY LIKE THE OC (Go watch Chuck if you want Josh Schwartz humor), and it's tacky and awful with dialogue...

Oh whatever. I can't talk my way out of this one. :'(

Oh no, I'm not knocking it b/c it's high school, I loved VMars and uh...Buffy, which is completely and utter ridiculousness, and Freaks and Geeks. It's not the high school part that bothers me.

I think it's the writing, mainly. I mean, I've never been a big fan of the "rich people have it tough!" thing, but I would be fine with it if the dialogue wasn't such crap. The storyline they can't be blamed as much for, b/c it's based to some degree on a book series (the book author can be blamed).

I know I read fanfic, even bad fanfic, on a regular basis. But GG's writing is just horrible. It feels like the writers have no imagination at all and are just recycling (stylistic writing) cliches.

That said, I may tease Jody about it, but I don't think it's horrible if someone does enjoy it. I watched and LOVED 'Kid Nation', which was like G-rated Survivor. Completely bland and feel-good emptiness.

Yes! Arrange an emergency FAT WHORES meeting! We shall fight our enemies with our Draco icons.
